Very best wishes to you, Amy. The Highlands look lovely and I can imagine the terrific changes you will be making. Thanks for your integrity about posting - totally respect that.
Congrats and good luck with the move! I had a similar move last year and have been really happy with it. After 15 years in Los Angeles, my partner and I moved north to Seattle. We have a bigger place in a quieter neighborhood and the area is really beautiful. It’s been lots of work to move but it’s also been fun to explore and experience new things.
Thank you! I'm trying to focus on the positive things, like you say, exploring and new experiences, whenever I feel overwhelmed with the packing and the sadness of leaving.
Ooh! I somehow missed this. How exciting. Inverness is a lovely city. I’d live to squeeze in a coffee before you go, if we can manage it. I assume plenty of others will be asking the same though. X
Aww, I would have loved that but we're gone literally the day after I finish work and every spare day between now and then (next Thursday!) is being spent packing. I'll be back on a regular basis though, so don't worry, I'm not leaving my hair dresser! :D
I hope your move goes well. I have moved 9 times in my 49 years of marriage and each time is, as you say, bittersweet. Initially, each change had its own downsides but in the longer term they all worked out, when matched against the criteria for moving, and presented amazing opportunities. Good luck!

That's very kind of you to say, thank you!

Thank you! This is very reassuring!
Good luck with the move and with finding somewhere to settle anew. I look forward to hearing about all of it when you are back in the flow.
Thank you! and thank you for reading :)
