That's so lovely. One of these days I'll get round to knitting one of my own. I'm assuming it's just the blocks with no shaping?

Thank you! Yes, exactly, you knit all the blocks, then seam them together, then pick up and knit the sleeves, neckband and bottom hem. There's no shaping, it's designed to be oversized and boxy. You could adjust the length and width by adding or subtracting blocks (or perhaps knitting plain blocks in half lengths or widths 🤔) but otherwise no shaping!

What a stunning sweater! Gorgeous colors. I too knitted a Christmas gift and ended up bestowing it as a Twelfth Night gift instead - one day I will finish a gift knit on time but it seems this was not the year for me!

I love the idea of a Twelfth Night gift! Let's pretend that's what I'd intended for this project 😅

Amy, these two sweaters are lovely! I've only knit sweaters in stockinette stitch. Do you think that this would be a good learning experience to up my game? (Repetitive, but getting the first block might take a bit of practice?)

Thank you! I reckon with practice (and maybe the help of YouTube tutorials!) you could definitely do it! Especially because the blocks are quite repetitive, so once you've mastered one, you're just doing the same over and over. Definitely give it a go!

It looks amazing!! And like a lot of work. I’m building up to my first stranded colour work project this year… I have the yarn and pattern and just need to get to it…

Thank you! Definitely a lot of work, but enjoyable work for sure 😊
