It’s so good to hear someone else condemn? disapprove? of Sub Notes. I can’t keep up and don’t want to keep up. I do, however, love posts such as this from thoughtful, creative, lovely people such as yourself. Thank you for sharing! Particularly, I found inspiration from your overcoat. I am planning to make something like it myself, one of these days, with wool. It would be lovely to have a light wool in the color scheme like yours for my project. Looking forward to the photos!

Your jumper is beautiful! I’m playing around with the idea of doing some colorwork on browns and creams, so this feels extra inspirational!

I'm so glad! Let me know what you decide to cast on, I'd love to see!

I love that colourwork sweater and am itching to cast on something new for me. Yet at the same time I know I won't get it finished in time to wear before spring hits. Hmmm....decisions...

Thank you! I always struggle with the short rows but I'm hoping once it's blocked they'll be less obvious. I tried Japanese short rows this time and really liked that method!

Your pattern matching is extremely impressive! I’ve been meaning to try out a pattern from the Modern Sewing Co for a while now - do you like the Overshirt pattern?

Thank you! It took two attempts, full disclosure 😂 I love the Overshirt - I've made it once before (I wrote about it on my blog here: https://www.craftandthrift.co.uk/blog/modern-sewing-co-overshirt) and I wear it all the time. I really like Modern Sewing Co patterns, I love the designs and the instructions are very good I think. I'm about to try the Worker Trousers!

This is such useful information, thank you for replying! I am also very tempted by the Worker Trousers so I will be very curious to hear how your attempt goes. I think you've convinced me to buy a pattern from them regardless!
