tbh I can't remember why I originally signed up. I have enjoyed all of your content and agree about the Venn diagram overlap as I fit more than one category, too.

Making the granola again today. It’s so delicious!

Note to self and others like me: please don’t do anything else while it’s in the oven. No, nothing. Your nuts will burn if you wash up or start making ice cream or anything else. If you’re lucky and your hazelnuts and almonds still had their skins on, then it’s rescuable. Thankfully. Rub the skins (ash) off with kitchen paper and let everyone know this batch is “extra toasty”.

Haha, I could have written this comment! I'm constantly distracting myself in the kitchen and adding "extra toasty" seasoning to dinner!

4 ingredients I love. Sultanas, dates, figs, apricots. In many parts of the world dates are kind of like a seasonal staple I think. Btw, one more thing you (or anyone else making granola at home), could consider adding to the recipe is Ceylon Cinnamon. It's supposed to be a sweet variety of cinnamon. Although I can't say I'm a fan of spice in desserts. (Granola can be an appetizer, the main course and a dessert for me. - I mean why not).

This is the recipe that adds that cinnamon into the mix. - https://www.seylany.com/en/easy-cinnamon-cranberry-granola-homemade-healthy-homemade-granola/ - Still I'm personally not a fan of having spice in my dessert. But I haven't tried the cinnamon granola to be sure.

Ooo, I love dates, I don't buy them very often because they're relatively expensive where Iive. But they would be a great addition to granola!

Yeah likewise! And dried fruit too. One favourite was UK's Dorset Muesli that I used to get in the UAE. Loved the dried fruit in it.

And btw, there's like a whole variety of dates; And some varieties are just incredibly delightful. If you ever find yourself visiting the middle-east like the Emirates, Qatar, or Saudi Arabia, I really recommend you explore the variety they've got. And dates are kind of sold by the kilo or the box sometimes. They're that common and affordable. I'm sure you'll really love some of the varieties.

Fellow vet 🙌🏻 Have you seen the BBC news article about Vets Now/IVC charging? Interesting and stressful stuff. A vet friend and I are in the process of starting a chatty, informal vet podcast and we'll definitely be discussing this (alongside plenty of craft chat too!)

Ahh I'm in Australia, while we do have an increasing amount of corporate clinics I am working in a small clinic owned by our senior vet. Podcast sounds fun!

Me too :-D Came for the sewing and knitting, am interested in sustainability, enjoy reading about your gardening experiences - and there are even some more shared experiences ([former] vet, Julia Cameron-not-completer, scottish nature lover...). Love to read you 😃

All of the above… sewing, knitting, gardening and sustainability are shared interests. But I think I first found you through Zoe and Check Your Thread. During lockdown I bought a pack of dead stock fabric from you to make my own knickers! (Which I still wear!)

At the moment it's weeding and planning. I'm away too much to do anything other than plant containers with annuals. But I'll get there.
