There is also joy to be found in productivity, such as when you finish something you've been working on for awhile. Even small projects can bring joy. It doesn't have to be a separate thing from being productive. :)

You are putting fun and joy on the wrong side of the to do list. Having fun and bringing joy to yourself and others isn’t a frivolous activity. It’s essential for happiness. Often I’ve found the best times were the unplanned moments that just popped up. The house and garden will always require attention, but a day off without accomplishing anything can bring wonderful memories later.

I JUST finished making a batch of peach freezer jam. Mother Nature gifted us with precisely enough fruit to make one batch, and the squirrels, birds, and bugs got their own little buffet, too!
