I've opened my first chat!
A private space for Craft & Thrift readers to yackety-yack about crafts & creativity
I’m experimenting with opening a chat thread, where Craft & Thrift readers can discuss works in progress, creative projects, and swap sustainability tips!
I've not really made use of the chat function on Substack yet, but I understand it to be a space exclusively for subscribers—kind of like a group chat. I’ll post questions, thoughts, or informal updates, and you can jump into the discussion if you would like. I'm thinking it might be a fun way we can swap recipes, ask questions about our creative projects, or share photos of our knitting!
I've left the instructions from Substack below, in case you are also new to the chat function.
Today though, I have an ulterior motive. I decided to part ways with my brown cable knit sweater and I've listed it on Vinted. If anyone is interested here though, I'm happy to sell it to a subscriber within the UK with shipping included (so £40 all in, cheaper than Vinted!). I would love for this sweater to go to someone who will love it more than I have. It was a tricky one to knit (albeit I think ultimately it came out nicely) so I've decided to pass it on to someone who doesn't have the mental baggage I have of its “birth” (lol).
I've popped the link in the chat thread, for anyone who might be interested.
How to get started
Get the Substack app by clicking this link or the button below. New chat threads won’t be sent sent via email, so turn on push notifications so you don’t miss conversation as it happens. You can also access chat on the web.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.
That’s it! Jump into my thread to say hi, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ.
